From its establishment in 2005, the Centre for the Presentation of Cultural Heritage has been systematically building up its specialized library, which is at the moment offering more then 1200 up-to-date mostly English titles.
The library is currently an extraordinary book stock, which is used both by students creating their essays, undergraduate or master dissertations, and by experts solving their theoretical and proffesional issues. The book stock ranges all over the museology field and it also aims to focus on other related disciplines. An important part of the library is the significat collection of foreign museology journals.
The library contains titles covering following areas:
• Museology
• Museography and applied museology
• Museum education
• Exhibition making
• Collections presentation
• Digital technologies application and digitalisation of collections
• Museum marketing and management
• Collections care
The complete book database is regularly updated and available for download here.
All the books are available only for studying in the library. With regards to the present operating conditions of the library of the Centre, the books are available in the main National Museum library reading room. Requested titles (max 10 per person per day) should be asked for at least two days in advance via the following contact. The confirmation of the availability of the chosen books is needed from the staff of the Centre
